On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options, click the Connections tab, and then click LAN Settings.

  1. Under Proxy server, click to select the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box.
  2. In the Address box, type the IP address of the proxy server.
  3. In the Port box, type the port number that is used by the proxy server for client connections.
  4. You can click to select the Bypass proxy server for local addresses check box if you do not want the proxy server computer to be used when you connect to a computer on the local network (this may speed up performance).
  5. Click OK to close the LAN Settings dialog box.
  6. Click OK again to close the Internet Options dialog box.

  1. Open Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
  2. Click the Connections tab.
  3. Under Local Area Networks (LAN) settings, click the LAN Settings button.
  4. Clear the Automatically detect settings check box.
  5. Click the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box.
  6. Type the address and port of your proxy server.
  7. Click OK twice.

How to set up Opera for using proxy?

Proxy server settings are found in Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Network (Mac: Opera > Preferences > Advanced > Network).

Click the "Proxy servers" button to open the proxy settings dialog.

Tick the checkboxes for the protocols you want to use a proxy for and enter the proxy server hostname or IP address in the text field to the right of the protocol name (HTTP, HTTPS...). To the right of the protocols there is a box available for the port number.

  1. Open a window of adjustment of the program: Tools > Options > Advanced > Network
  2. In the window of adjustments of connection adjust parameters of connection: Choose radio button Manual Proxy Configuration, consistently fill fields (HTTP Proxy, SSL Proxy, FTP Proxy и Gopher Proxy).
  3. Save settings.
